NETWORKING

Speaker Events

Speaker events feature established professionals who share their experiences and knowledge in the sustainability and environmental field. Past speakers have included Hon. Michael Harcourt, Hon. Hugh O’Reilly (Mayor of Whistler) and Linda Coady (WWF BC).

Social Events

We have partnered with Green Drinks Vancouver to bring you our monthly social event. These evenings provide opportunities for informal chat and networking with other environmental and sustainability professionals. CEP members are provided notification of these events through a listserv.

Career-Building Workshops

CEP workshops provide opportunities for members to build their careers. Past workshops have focused on facilitation and presentation skills, achieving work-life balance, and envisioning a dream career.

CEP distributes job postings through a listserv to help members find
employment in the environmental and sustainability fields.

CAPACITY BUILDING

Mentorship Program

CEP began a new mentorship program in 2006. New and emerging professionals are matched with more experienced professionals. The program encourages the exchange of ideas and experiences to help mentees build strong careers, while mentors gain communication and guidance skills.

Conference Discounts

CEP provides its members with discounted rates to conferences, such as GLOBE 2006. To keep informed about future conference discount opportunities join our listserv. Discounts are only available to existing members.
